Rules & Regulations
Please read carefully before submitting your entry
Eligibility Criteria
- Author must be 35 years or below at publication time
- Books published in 2024 or 2025 only
- No reprints or new editions allowed
- One book per category per author/translator
- Proof of age required (Aadhar, PAN, etc.)
Categories
- Fiction - novels, novellas, short stories
- Non-Fiction - biographies, memoirs, essays, research
- Poetry - collections of poems
- Translation - from/into regional languages of Bihar
- North-East Languages - Fiction, Poetry, Non-fiction
Prize & Recognition
- Cash Prize: Rs. 11,000/- per category
- Certificate & Memento for each winner
- Travel: 2nd AC (trains) / Economy (flights)
- Accommodation within India
- Attend award ceremony at NLF
Submission Guidelines
- Submit as e-book or Kindle format
- Hard copies accepted if e-book unavailable
- Books in Hindi or NE languages (with translations)
- Include synopsis (300-500 words)
- Include bio (max 200 words)
- Include author photograph
- Entries by author or publisher

General Rules
- Festival can disqualify ineligible entries
- Entries not returned after submission
- Festival may use cover image, synopsis, name, photo for promotion
- Jury decision is final and binding
- Submission = acceptance of all rules
